Q - Will you marry persons who have previously been divorced?

A - Yes. While marriage is sacred and meant for life, reality is many end in   divorce. I applaud those who are willing to give God's wonderful plan of life-long commitment in marriage another chance. If a man and woman are able to legally obtain a marriage license, I want to assist them in fulfilling their plans to be married.

Q - Do you require counseling?

A - No. I am not against counseling. In fact, I encourage it. However, I do not require it as a condition to officiating a wedding. Perhaps the greatest benefit of premarital counseling, besides the many others, is that it builds a relationship with a seasoned, spiritual minister or counselor that may prove invaluable to the couple throughout their journey together. I do offer my services as a pastoral counselor, but it is not required.

Q - Can we write our own vows?

A - Absolutely. There are also many resources including the internet that may assist here. I only ask that you submit these to me in the early stage of preparation so that we may plan well. However, most couples will choose a written ceremony similar to those in the Sample Ceremonies section of this site.
